Enable USB Debugging & OEM Unlocking

We are starting our guide first of all, by enabling USB Debugging & OEM Unlocking on your device. It will make the device recognizable by the computer in ADB mode. This permits you to boot your device in order to Download Mode. Otherwise, OEM Unlocking is needed to conduct the bootloader unlocking process.

First of all, you have to head to Settings > About Phone > Software Info > Tap on Build Number 7 Times > You have to head back to Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging & OEM Unlock.

Boot Samsung Galaxy Note S8/S8 Plus to Download Mode

Boot the device to the Download Mode so that Odin recognizes the device. When that happens, we will flash the TWRP Recovery using Odin & then the Android 12 ROM via the recovery. Therefore, press & hold the Power, Volume Down, and Home keys together & you guys will be taken to a Warning Screen. Hit the Volume Up key in order to boot your device to Download Mode. 

Install TWRP on Galaxy Note 8 via Odin

  • First of all, you have to connect the device to your PC by using a USB cable.
  • Download the official TWRP for your device from the below-mentioned link:


  • Download Odin & extract it to any convenient location on your Personal Computer.
  • Double click on the Odin3_v3.14.4 EXE file to set up the tool.
  • Head to its Options tab & you have to uncheck Auto-Reboot.
  • Tap on the AP button, go to the twrp.tar file & choose it.
  • Tap on the Start button & wait for the flashing to complete.
  • When the process is finished, Odin will alert you of the same using the Pass message.

Format Data on Samsung Galaxy Note S8/S8 Note via TWRP

  1. The device will boot to Download Mode. Press & hold the Power, Volume Down, & Home keys to force restart it.
  2. Whilst it is booting up, you have to press & hold the Power, Volume Up, & Home keys. It will boot to TWRP Recovery.
  3. Head to the Wipe section, click on Format Data.
  4. You have to write in YES in the space provided & click on the checkmark just located at the bottom right.
  5. Well, guys when that is done, again head to Wipe & click on Advanced Wipe.
  6. Choose Dalvik, System, Data, Cache partitions & do a right swipe to clear these partitions.

Install Android 12 ROM on Samsung Galaxy Note S8/S8 Plus

  1. Head to the Install section of TWRP.
  2. Choose the LineageOS 19 ZIP file & right swipe to flash it.
  3. Once completed,  head to Install. Opt to the GApps ZIP file and perform a right swipe to flash it.
  4. Restart your device to the newly installed OS by heading to Reboot > System.
